About
Advice columns are a fascinating social phenomenon. Total strangers write to other total strangers looking for advice on issues that are way too complex to be summed up in a few paragraphs. Yet these have been popular for over 100 years because it taps into a fundamental human condition: laziness.
It sure is easy to write a newspaper column when someone else does half the work for you and then churn out advice that you’d get from any decent friend or bartender.
Unwanted Advice however, is different. Where others may skirt around the issue or avoid it out of fear of liability litigation, I take the issues head on. No kid gloves here – I’ll read between the lines and tell people what they should hear, not what they want to.
